Piandimeleto
The fate of Piandimeleto and its castle are inextricably linked to the family of accounts Oliva, who by the possession of small Piagnano expanded in the area becoming one of the families of the most important, able to establish relationships with lucky Malatesta, Montefeltro, Bentivoglio, Gonzaga, and even with the Medici. The Peasant Museum of Work, on the ground floor of the castle, built in 1982 by the Municipality in cooperation with the Institute of History, University of Urbino, is organized into sections: the wheat cycle, crafts and rural farmhouse . A Piandimeleto the last weekend of July brings to life the historical event of the Palio dei Conti Oliva, and San Sisto (small fraction of the town) in the last week of September and October 1 of the Mushroom Festival is held.
