The most important monuments are the Palazzo Ducale di Pesaro (now the Prefecture), where a few meters away stands the birthplace of Gioachino Rossini which was built inside a museum, the Basilica Cathedral, the Rocca Costanza, Villa Imperiale, and many fountains and churches.
